The Glasgow Distillery has four copper pot stills, Tara, Mhairi, Margaret and Frances, to make the first Glasgow whisky in a very long time. Using a virgin oak finish to accelerate the ageing process it is a light, bourbony style that fits the Lowland model
Staff Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes A nose of dried dark fruits with tropical undertones on the nose, followed by hints of biscuit, oak and freshly cut grass. Sweet butterscotch with a crème brule char on the pallet. Hints of freshly sliced pear, dried figs, dates and raisin with sweet almond, honey and creamy shortbread notes. A long finish of thickly spread orange marmalade, nutmeg notes underpinned by complex woodiness and a slight spice.
