An Amarone with a sweet tooth, this is the Veneto regions most famous style of sweet wine. The grapes are dried over the winter concentrating the sugars and aromas in the same way its big brother wine, Amarone, is made. The rich and seriously sweet juice is the fermented and when the desired sweetness and alcohol level is reached, fermentation is stopped (Amamrone is fermented to dryness) and the wine is then aged for a minimum of 2 years in oak Barrels. The result is a beautiful sweet wine, rich and concentrated which is just delicious. Winemaker Giovanni Allegrini loved this wine so much that he put his name to it.
