Auchentoshan Three Wood

The Three Wood name given to this expression of Auchentoshan refers to the three types of cask that have gone into the vatting: bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez. All in all the end result is the richest and sweetest and most popular of the range from this Lowland distillery.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Orange oil, blackcurrant, caramelised brown sugar and a plummy note.

Palate – A syrupy texture. Fruitiness, hazelnuts and cinnamon, with butterscotch and a lemon zest finish. With a bit of time, a warming oakiness starts to come through.
