Aultmore 2008 15 Year Old RMW Cask #249

Another fantastic first for Royal Mile Whiskies, to bottle a single cask of Aultmore whisky. The selected cask is something a bit funkier than normal, as it previously held rye whiskey from the Brooklyn-based New York Distilling Company. We love the style of a Rye matured single malt, the fruity spice matches nicely with the Speyside dram. 

An impressive 296 bottles were vatted from the cask.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – A fragrant nose with honey on toast, caramel, pecans and a subtle spice.

Palate – Juicy palate stacked with fruits, cinnamon, a lively back and forth with zest of the spirit and the spice from the cask.

Finish – Long finish with crunchy honeycomb and milk chocolate coated nougat.
