We are massive fans of French apple brandy (Calvados), as it brings so many rich, fruity flavours to the spirits’ party. Avallen Calvados is made using local apples to their distillery, and some of their profits go to bee saving charities. They recommend it either neat or instead of gin in a gin and tonic. We are 100% behind calvados and tonic becoming popular.

Nose – Fresh apples with floral honeysuckle.

Palate – Richly warming with hints of custard. A lingering toffee apple finish
