One of the first whiskies to be released that centred on the concept of cask finishing, Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood has been a mainstay of the whisky world for so long it is easy to forget just how revolutionary this whisky was when is was released. If you want classic Speyside you won't go far wrong with this.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Some sherry notes coming through: onion chutney, burnt caramel, pickle, dates, raisins and plums.

Palate – Tablet, cherries, buttery, very creamy and a cheesecake biscuit base mouthfeel. More chocolate, and milky notes on the finish.
