Balvenie 17 Year Old Doublewood

The older brother of the 12 Year Old Doublewood and a welcome addition to the range when it was released a few years ago. It is great to see how those extra five years of maturation have worked with the spirit and created a lovely, spice laden dram.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Orchard freshness, caramelised apples and sugar glazed pastries

Palate – Apples and pineapples dipped in honey, very rich, toffee

Finish – Medium finish which fades ever so subtly with more sweet, dense chocolate notes.

Comments – A more luxurious version of the classic 12 year old. Delicious stuff.
