20 Year Old Armagnac 70cl

A richer, heavier brandy than Cognac, Armagnac is a bit of a hidden gem. Made from similar grape varieties to Cognac but distilled to a lower strength in small copper column stills. The distilling to a lower strength allows more flavour and makes for a heavier spirit. For this Baron de Sigognac 20-year-old, it is matured for 1 year in new oak, before being transferred to used oak for the other 19 years. A buttery spirit, with lovely fruity and spicy notes. Great value for its age.
