Alexandre le Grand founded the Benedictine brand after finding a recipe for the liqueur in 1863. The recipe purportedly dated back to 1510 and was the creation of the local Benedictine monks in Fecamp, Normandy. This fantastically complex liqueur is still produced in the Palais Benedictine in Fecamp - an architectural wonder built by le Grande to be the home of his now famous liqueur. Perfect for sipping, in cocktails or in the traditional B&B; Benedictine and Brandy.
Staff Tasting Notes Honey and saffron dominate. Herbal base notes carry the palate with floral flavours on the finish.
Official Tasting Notes A silky and rich palate with light honey and citrus notes with soft almonds.
