Back in the black and white days of the 1960's Speyside whiskies tended to be a tad more full bodied and a little more peatier than they are today. This 10 year old from Benromach attempts to recreate the halcyon days of the Beatles and the Stones in the form of whisky. This is a lovely dram that dispays a lovely subtle interplay between the sherry casks and the medium peated malt. The old fashioned use of brewers yeast in the fermentation process is also said to add body and fruitiness to the final character.
