Beyra Branco 2017 75cl
At around 700 metres Beyra's vineyards are amongst some of the highest in all Portugal. At theses altitudes the vines benefit from a cooler climate which allows allows higher level of acidity while the cool nights make ripening slower and more even, enhancing the concentration of aromas and flavours in the grape. The result is a finer, more restrained wine than some Portuguese wines. The main grape variety, Fonte Cal, is extremely rare and is yet to escape the Beira region, which produces well structured wines that are floral, honeyed and fruity.
