Blank Bottle Pseudonym Western Cape Cinsault 2021

A 100% Cinsault, made with grapes sourced from a 70 year old vineyard in Darling in the Western Cape. The Pseudonym for the winemaker when picking up these highly prized grapes is “The jam maker from the Strand”. There is a story in that, like all of the Blank Bottle wines!

Pieter H Walser works with vineyards across the Western Cape, releasing a range of intriguing and often one off wines. Although at some point he has spoken about an interest in growing his own grapes, the variety, complexity and quality of the vineyards he works with has continued to persaude him to work as a winemaker, working with these different vineyards and varietals.
