Bodegas Emilio Moro Polvorete Godello

Crisp, expressive and balanced. Ripe white peach, nectarine and blossom with a subtle weight on the palate and fresh acidity - Lovely with a potato salad, prawns, or smoked salmon.

100% Godello from some of the best vineyards between Ponferrada and Molinaseca in D.O. Bierzo. The fruit is harvested relatively early, to achieve an optimal balance of sugar ripeness and acidity.

Retaining the freshness of the fruit is key here and as such, the must is fermented at a controlled (low) temperature in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is followed by a period of ageing on lees to impart some weight and body to the palate.

Official Tasting Notes
Straw yellow in colour with floral and expressive white fruit notes on the nose which follow through to the well balanced, fresh but persistent flavours, and lovely well balanced acidity typical of the variety.
