A complex and deeply authentic field blend, with a pronounced aromatic spicy herbaceousness and vibrant florality. Light bodied, energetic and incredibly fresh - this one's a thinker. Try it with a range of antipasti and settle in for a lovely evening.

Fernando Mora MW and Mario Lopez, the winemaker and viticulturist respectively, produce the exceptional wines of Bodegas Frontonio in Alpartir, a town located in southwest Zaragoza, Spain. The 200-year-old house that serves as their base is constructed on a cellar/cave system that spans three stories. They adhere to a winemaking approach that emphasizes minimal intervention, while also maintaining a constant awareness of the soil, grapes, and wine throughout every stage of the production process.

Psicodelico is a field blend consisting of Garnacha and Macabeo, and rare local varieties, Cribatinaja, Provechon and Robal, all harvested from a tiny 0.4 Ha vineyard about 1.5 km southwest of Alpartir. The 60+ year old vines are planted in clay soils rich in slate and quartzite, on a valley slope at over 650 m above sea level.

The grapes were harvested by hand in late August and the varieties were foot trodden together. The must was simultaneously macerated and fermented over the course of 40 days in cement tanks, with daily punching-down. The wine was then racked to a combination of neutral 300 and 500 L casks to age for 12 months before release.

This very limited bottling was produced for Frontonio's Garage Wine Club. Only 2,166 individually numbered bottles were produced.
