2005 was a special time for Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. They were a few years in to their revival as a distillery, and we feel this bottling really shows off the classic character from this distillery.

It is rare to see an 18 year old, single cask from Bruichladdich, so we are delighted that our sister shop Royal Mile Whiskies has bottled this. Aged in a bourbon barrel, we don't think the 207 bottles it produced will hang around for long.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Marzipan and barely, zesty with dry cloth.

Palate – Coconut butter, oily and juicy then coastal characters before oats and honey.

Finish – A rustic character followed by desserts and a long minerality with wine gums and gooseberry compote. A cask with undisputed distillery character, showing the endurance of spirit from the new era of Bruichladdich.
