Caol Ila 12 Year Old

A worthy addition to the pantheon of Islay's smokey whiskies. Caol Ila is a little lighter than it's southern Islay neighbours Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg but still packs quite a peaty punch. Lovely briney and citrus notes abound as well.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Citrus fruit, aromatic bath oil, minty notes, lychee, almond and some oiliness. A little smokiness.

Palate – Light, fragrant smokiness, a dash of saltiness and some sweet notes.
