This popular Tequila Cascahuín Blanco is distilled from the Blue Weber agave plant and has been produced by a family-run artisanal company established in 1904 by Salvador Rosales Briseño in a small town called El Arenal in Jalisco (the Mexican home state of tequila). Cascahuin Blanco is made using a ‘Tahona wheel’ - a big wheel-shaped stone said to have been brought over to Mexico by the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century and used to grind and crush the cooked agave into the juice called ‘aguamiel’ (Spanish for ‘honey water’). This method preserves the natural taste and sweetness of the agave, playing a crucial part in providing a richer and more complex selection of aromas and flavours.
Official Tasting Notes Nose Aroma includes hints of nuts, lemon and lemon, with small aromas of raisins, peach and agave. Taste Taste earthy, peppery flavours, with hints of sweet agave, spices, cinnamon and citrus. Aftertaste Carries the fruity, spicy flavours from the original taste. Appearance Clear colour with a sparkly ‘crystal-like’ appearance.
