Cave de Turckheim Brand Gewurztraminer Grand Cru 2015

The Brand vineyard in Alsace is south facing, getting high levels of sunshine. This produces very ripe, rich grapes. Grown on coarsely textured sandy soil, it is low yield, high quality. Grand Cru Gewürztraminer is a real treat, particularly with something rich like a duck dish. The exotic lychee notes, lime and rose notes make it a wine to be experienced, and a wine that is a wonderful welcome to Alsace.

A nose of rich Turkish Delight, rose-petal, lychee and warm spice balanced by a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Rich, powerful and complex fruit yet finely structured and balanced, which ensures this deliciously exotic white retains an elegant style and an unexpectedly fresh finish.
