Cave de Turckheim Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes 2022

Not as frequently planted in Alsace as other grapes, Sylvaner has a nice acidity that seems to work quite well in these unusual acacia casks. The acacia seems to soften and balance the acidity. 35 year old vines, first fermented in acacia barrels, then later aged on the lees in acacia barrels.

Official Tasting Notes
A lightly spiced and mellow nose characterised by the gently honeyed perfume of the acacia wood. The palate is beautifully textured with rich, weighty yet refreshing fruit and a long, zesty, lemon finish.
