Chairmans Reserve 2011 Single Cask #198 Vendome RMW Exclusive

This single cask St. Lucian Rum was selected as an exclusive bottling for our sister shop, Royal Mile Whiskies. The spirit was distilled in a hybrid Vendome pot still at St. Lucia Distillers and was racked for maturation in a single ex-bourbon barrel. It's a complex tot full of fruity esters and herbaceous notes, and is a limited release of only 253 bottles.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – An instant hit of herbs and spices- menthol, aniseed and then black treacle. Charred gingerbread and old wood with a slight hint of glazed meats.

Palate – Ripe red fruits, big esters and shaved aniseed.

Finish – Oily, somewhat ashy and sandy, the herbs of the nose emerge and then give way to caramel, dark chocolate and strawberries after some seconds.
