Vines have been cultivated in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon for 6000 years, an ancient part of the winemaking world. Chateau Musar can be credited as one of the wineries that has brought modern Lebanese winemaking to the world. Planting their first vines in the 1930's, Musar have managed to continue to make wine even during Lebanon's most turbulent times, which is quite an achievment. Their Musar Jeune Red is from younger vines in the valley and has blackcurrant and cherry jam notes. This blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon is ready to be drunk young, so grab a bottle and enjoy, maybe with a roast dinner. Or with a meat feast pizza.
Food PairingLamb
Official Tasting Notes Inky-dark, silky-textured and aromatic, with blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry jam flavours and a warm, spicy finish, it has been likened to a fine Roussillon red.
