In the South West French region of Gaillac ex French rugby star Eric Lépine, now turned winemaker, is making some truly exciting wines in a very traditional manner. This is an interesting blend of local varieties Braucol (AKA Fer) and Duras, with the better known Syrah. Fermented and aged without any oak influence this wine is a great reflection of the South west of France.
