This Port wine is made from Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Rufete grapes, which are grown in the DOura Valley, Portugal. The vines are around 80 years old, from Quinta do Cabido, on the Teja River, in Numão. Traditional methods are combined with modern techniques to preserve the authentic character of the grapes such as foot pressing on granite soils.
Food PairingIts nutty and spicy character also makes it an excellent companion for desserts.
Official Tasting Notes The palate is silky and rich, with a velvety texture, with the dried fruits of the aroma merging with rich notes of caramel and honey. The nutty character provides deep complexity, while the subtle acidity balances the sweetness and gives the wine a refreshing lightness.
