Corte Vetusto Ensamble II Mezcal

Uniquely distilled, first in a copper pot still, then in an ancestral clay pot still. This spirit is crafted in the undisputed epicentre of the mezcal world - Oaxaca, Mexico.

Corte Vetusto aim to create their mezcal the way they were always meant to. For this reason, their Ensambles are always released in limited batches, giving a variation from bottle to bottle. This batch is made from equal parts Espadin, Tobala and Madrecuishe agave, which is cooked for 4 days in an earthen brick oven fired with mesquite wood. The cooked piña are milled with a horse-drawn volcanic stone tahona, fermented with wild yeast, and double distilled, first in a copper pot still, then in an ancestral clay pot still.
