Dailuaine 16 Year Old Flora and Fauna

A lovely sherried dram from Diageo's Dailuaine distillery. This is the only regularly available official bottling on the market but is still pretty hard to find. If you fancy a sherried malt from somewhere away from the usual suspects then you can't go too far wrong with this bottling.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Big sugary notes, with cocoa powder, bitter orange and boiled sweets. Lemon zest, pith and grapefruit follow, with a dash of nuttiness. An undertone of smokiness.

Palate – A meaty smokiness at first, with a syrupy rich mouthfeel. The meatiness gives way to some peaches, and sponge cake.
