Dalmore Port Wood Reserve

Wine casks, in particular sherry casks, are used throughout the whisky industry for imparting big rich flavours to the developing spirit during maturation. Port casks are less frequently used so it is always intriguing when a distillery releases a port influenced dram with a definitively bright fruity flavour profile.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Sweet red berries, Seville oranges, plummy fruits and sticky toffee pudding.

Palate – Nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts and Java coffee.

Finish – Rich plums, sultanas, Sanguinello blood oranges and macerated cherries.
