This delightful 18 Year old comes from Highland distillery, Deanston. Matured in ex-bourbon barrels, it's a dram loaded with fudgy ginger and dried spice notes. One of our staff favourite 18 year old single malts that represents a fantastic value.
Staff Tasting Notes
Nose – Freshly sawn light wood still with a touch of sap. Icing sugar leading to a cakey spice. A touch of sherbet. Maybe a drop of Worcestershire sauce on a barley sugar sweetie. Palate – Sugar water moving to a bitter woodiness. Something herbal binds into the woodiness. Dries out the mouth with freshly cut sawdust.
No other Deanston 18 Year Old 46.3% 70cl bottles were found.
