Think you know tequila? Think again! To help us understand the depth and complexity of this agave nectar we have Sergio Mendoza visiting us from Mexico. He will guide us through the Don Fulano range and teach us to look far beyond any wretched past experience of shooter glasses, salt and wedges of lime.

Sergio is part of the Fonseca family who are important agave farmers in the region of Los Altos (the Highlands) of Jalisco in México. In the 1980s, Enrique Fonseca, Sergio's uncle, and business partner acquired the legendary Tequileña Distillery (NOM 1146) in the heartland of Tequila, from whose stills and well-known ageing rooms have come products like Don Fulano and Fuenteseca. Sergio and Enrique created Don Fulano Tequila in 2002, a line-up of tequilas produced naturally from ground to bottle from their estate grown agave. Since then, Don Fulano has been awarded and recognized worldwide as one of the greatest authentic, natural tequilas. Sergio is also founder of Don Fulano Global, a collaborative project of production, promotion, diffusion, and preservation of Mexican artisan spirits.
