Egly-Ouriet Millesime 2016 is a Champagne made from old vines of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the estate located in Ambonnay, France; a terroir classified Grand Cru. A great cuvée for aging in an exceptional vintage! The exquisitely crafted 2016 displays a fresh, bold snap from the Chardonnay component with the smoothest of texture and citrus-led honing, lifting and refreshing the Pinot Noir. It is often noted that Egly-Ouriet sets the tone in Champagne achieving considerable depth with each sip revealing stacked flavour.

Staff Tasting Notes The nose reveals Its high acidity and saline finish cutting through rich flavours, while its complex notes of peach, pear, vanilla, hints of honey, green tea and brioche are all quietly underpinned by the chalky character of Ambonnay's great terroirs. On the palate, it develops without hesitation, revealing its freshness and abundant structure. Great chalky finish with a subtle black pepper reminder. A harmonious wine with a lively energy.
