This red wine is made from Zweigelt grapes, which are grown Weinviertel region, Austria.
Food Pairinggrilled or roasted poultry, a bowl of tomato pasta, a colorful stir-fry, or even a Provençal-style ratatouille, a lentil stew, or charred vegetable skewers.
Official Tasting Notes Zweigelt, Austria’s most recognised red grape variety, can produce deliciously plump, generously fruit-forward wines and that’s exactly what we have here. Thomas matures his Zweigelt in huge acacia barrels, for around 18 months, which have been at the winery since the 60’s. Imparting no flavour, the large surface area allows the process of micro-oxygenation to soften the tannins leaving a plump, supple red with a juicy and refreshing finish.
