Famille Morin Cuvée Caroline Picpoul de Pinet

A typically crisp and bright picpoul, but with more rounded weight than usually expected. White flowers, yellow apple, citrus, a hint of aromatic spice & a saline finish - While a classic pairing for delicate seafood, this one is also beautiful with Pad Thai and Pho.

Picpoul from Double Cordon de Royat trained vines in the warm Mediterranean climate of Languedoc is harvested at night when it is colder in order to preserve freshness. The fruit is immediately pressed and then left to settle in tank at a low temperature to clarify the must. The must is fermented, then aged on lees, with regular agitation, to add weight and roundness to the mouthfeel.

Official Tasting Notes
Bright and pale yellow wine with very fresh aromas of white flowers, acacia and hawthorn; fresh and saline palate but with a slight roundness for a Picpoul. This is “gourmet” Picpoul.
