Glen Moray Port Classic

Although not as commonly used as a maturation vessel as sherry casks, port casks are being used sparingly to finish certain expressions by a handful of distilleries. As these fortified wine casks are prized for the flavour they impart to the mature whisky they do not come cheap, making this Glen Moray expression a bargainous way to experience a port finish.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Toasted vanilla and light oak, rich dried fruits.

Palate – Refreshing spice with a citrus lemon tang. Caramelised sweetness with cinnamon.

Finish – Lingering, with sweet spice and delicate oak.
