Glen Scotia Double Cask

The Double Cask from Glen Scotia is finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks which add a touch of roundness and sweetness to the whisky. This is still quite a robust coastal beast though and there's a lovely subtle peatiness lurking here and there on the palate.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Ginger thin biscuits, christmas spices and burnt sugar.

Palate – Sweet sherry notes, oiliness with a touch of smoke and some orange peel.

Comments – Very good. An excellent introduction to Campbeltown.
