Herbsaint Original Recipe

Still made with the original 1930's recipe, this is one of the key ingredients in an official Sazerac cocktail.

Created in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1934 as an absinthe-substitute. This anise-flavoured liqueur is produced now by Sazerac Company.

Herbsaint is almost an anagram of absinthe and is also the French/Creole for "Sacred Tree".
