High Coast Whisky Cinco

This single malt whisky is produced by the High Coast (formerly Box) Distillery located on the Angerman River in northern Sweden. In the former sawmill, whisky is now produced 6 days a week and is one of the world's northernmost whisky distilleries. Cinco is Spanish and means five. For Cinco, a number of casks have been used that previously stored five different types of sherry, namely Oloroso, Fino, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Rich, aromatic, and very sweet. Notes include dried fruits, honey, caramel, vanilla, and hints of red fruit, dark cherry, and blueberry pie.

Palate – Creamy and smooth despite the high ABV. Features strong notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and oak spices.

Finish – Medium to long, with a drying sensation, sweet spices, and lingering notes of coffee and cocoa nibs. The whisky is often described as a "sherry bomb", designed to be rich and complex.
