Co. Geal Inaugural Release 2022 45% 70cl

The inaugural release from the Islay Rum Company, distilled at the Old Lemonade Factory in Port Ellen. Their rum production is inspired by traditional Caribbean distilling techniques, such as the use of dunder and wild yeast in fermentation, which in this case proceeds for 168 hours. The distillery uses a Double-Retort Pot Still, which produces a smooth spirit that is nonetheless rich in funky, flavoursome congeners, drawing comparisons Rhum Agricoles.
