J Gow 2018 6 Year Old Fading Light XO

A special edition, chestnut cask aged Scottish rum from J. Gow. The spirit was filled into the single 2nd fill chestnut cask on the 04.09.2018, where it stayed for 6 years, until it was bottled on 05.09.2024. 

Compared to oak, chestnut is a much more porous wood. This interaction results in a very unusual flavour profile.
