Knockando 12 Year Old

Knockando Distillery is just west of Craigellachie, close to the River Spey. It is quite a malty dram, with little hints of berries and floral notes. Knockando is mainly used as a malt within different blended whiskies. Quite a good-looking distillery if you happen to be passing.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – A blackcurrant, fruity and floral aromas. Freshly washed damp linen. With time, more ash notes. With water, cereal notes, meaty notes and a burnt paper note.

Palate – Pleasantly sweet, light, dash of fruity acidity. A clean, easy drinking malt.
