Lochlea Our Barley

Lochlea is a farm distillery in South Ayrshire. Their single malt is made using barley grown in their own fields, and aged in a combination of Bourbon casks, Sherry casks and STR casks.

At the helm of the whisky creation side of things is John Campbell, who previously managed Laphroaig for many years. His experience and whisky knowledge will no doubt be invaluable to this young distillery.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Pear syrup, fruit bon bons, warm cut grass, marmalade.

Palate – Golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts, cream soda.

Finish – Long finish with a lasting orange beeswax note.
