Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask 2023

The 2023 edition of Macallan 18 year old Double Cask. It was matured in two specially selected types of oak casks, American and European, both of which have been seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. The American oak lends citrus, vanilla and butterscotch notes, while the European oak mild spice notes. The result is a decadent dram that is unmistakably Macallan.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

Palate – Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

Finish – Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
