Marquis de Montesquiou Extra Old

The Montesquiou family have been assembling fine Armagnacs for decades, and have family history going back to 1040 in the region. There is even a rumoured relation to a Muskateer!. This is their Extra Old, which is a mixture of different brandies, that are a minimum of 10 years old.

Official Tasting Notes
An expressive nose of the typical rancio of aged eaux-de-vie with a bouquet of melted but present wood, vanilla, prune, buts, fruity with cherry & coconut and spices. A very smooth, tasty palate, with lots of structure and balance, a perfect alliance between wood and fruit.
