Mount Gay XO Triple Cask Blended Rum

A blend of pot and column distilled rum aged for between 5 and 17 years in American whisky, bourbon and Cognac casks. They also practise open air fermentation for their pot distilled spirit, which will cause wild yeasts to create lots of interesting flavours. Mount Gay have been producing rum since 1703 in Barbados, and the spirit has a fruity, cocoa and treacle led house style.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Perfect balance of vanilla, oak and dry spice notes.

Palate – Salted caramel, baked fig and clove, dark chocolate.
