Nc'Nean Botanical Spirit

We were very excited when Nc'Nean Distillery first opened. This is the first product they released as they waited for their whisky to reach maturity. It's not a gin, as the base spirit in gin has to be distilled to the point where it is a neutral spirit. The base new-make barley spirit has lovely fruity notes, that is then balanced with the infused flavours of select botanicals.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Soft, rich and nutty notes of barley with a hint of salty sea breeze are followed by smooth, calming chamomile and herbaceous thyme.

Palate – a smooth, creamy texture with delicate spice and pepperiness alongside grapefruit and sour berries.
