A plastic packaging free zone
A single vineyard, vintage port from very old vines, traditionally vinified under foot and aged in port pipes for 3 years. The vines in this vineyard are between 80 and 100 years old and provide the backbone to many of Niepoort's vintages. This wine was considered of a high enough quality to be a single vineyard vintage, due to when it was harvested (harvested before a rainstorm, which stopped much of port from declaring a vintage year). A real gem of the 2013 harvest.

Official Tasting Notes Appearance of deep purple accompanied by a purple rim. With time, the wine has gained in colour, but on the aroma the exuberant youthful fruit, so evident after its first winter has closed down, but is very much still present on the palate with dark plums and blackberries with firm grainy tannins on the mid palate giving both structure and power to the wine leading to a grainy but not aggressive finish.
