Old Ballantruan

A heavily peated single malt from the Tomintoul distillery, which traditionally only produces unpeated malt. A chance to try a heavily peated whisky from Speyside, rather than Islay.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Malty, hints of chocolate, an earthy note and a youthful fiery note.

Palate – Creamy, sweet malty notes, with an oily mouthfeel and a peaty note. Cold haggis, charred notes, and a woody note on the finish.
