Named for the vineyard's site - between Mt Macedon and Mt Bullengarook, historically known to the Wurundjeri as Warekilla - Place Of Changing Winds is created from an organic 3-hectare vineyard with crazy density and astoundingly low yields; 10 times the density of your average vineyard, and 10 times less fruit produced. Between Robert Walters and Remi Jacquemain of PoCW, and renowned Northern Rhone growers, Alain and Maxime Graillot, they have created the project's first Marsanne with some amazing results. Powerful and a touch smoky, with struck match and solids influence, alongside pear, melon and honey notes. Rich and well-structured. It benefits from decanting and allowing it to unwind a little, and may benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring.
