QuiQuiRiQui Wild Tepeztate Mezcal

Quiquiriqui Mezcals are made by the Mendez family of Matatlan, Oaxaca, who source agave of diffierent varieties from growers across the region.

This mezcal is made exclusively from wild Tepeztate agave. Tepeztate can take over 25 years to reach maturity in the wild and tends to grow on the side of steep rocky cliffs, making harvesting the agave especially challenging.

Having tasted this mezcal, we think it's absolutely worth the effort, bursting as it is with notes of sweet red peppers, fresh citrus and an intense smoky herbaceousness.
