Ron Matusalem 15 Gran Reserva Rum

Originally one of Cuba's more popular rums, now produced in the Dominican Republic (due to years of political upheaval). A Cuban style though, so not as heavy as some Barbados and Jamaican rums. Aged in a solera system, where older and younger rums are blended together. An average age of 15 years old.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Citrus, poached pears, ginger, quince and dried fruits.

Palate – Mix of light spices, nuts, ripe fruit, smoke and wood with notes of candied orange, all spice and macadamia nuts.
