Royal Brackla 16 Year Old

A gloriously fruity single malt, bestowed the royal monikor for supplying the King's court in the 1830's. Until recently, mainly used in blended whiskies like Dewars. We are glad to see it released as a single malt.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Immediately big and fruity like dried pineapple and baked apples which is soon to be replaced by rich brown sugar, sultanas and white chocolate. There's also a slight vegetal note akin to mashed potato and butter. Lots going on.

Palate – Lots of sweet shop notes with icing sugar, lemon drops and barley twists. A bit of citrus fruit gives some bitterness to balance out the sweetness. On the finish; strawberry bonbons.
