Saillt Mor Whisky Sponge No 73a

An exciting single cask selected by the wonderful Indie bottler Whisky Sponge. The Saillt Mor distillery is in Bad Durkheim, located near the German wine route, in the mid to south west of Germany. This bottling (No 73a) is made using peated malt, and aged in first fill bourbon barrels for 8 years.

1 of 230 bottles, this is a great contrast to Saillt Mor Whisky Sponge No 73b, which is made using beechwood smoked malt.

A beautifully rugged and pure take on peat flavour, with breads, spices and smoky / salty notes in abundance.
